A Better Than Fair Day
We went to Flagstaff today for the Coconino County Fair. We didn't think we'd make it after running late, then the near blowout on the freeway. Just so you know, my computer kicked in with a "something's up with the tire" before the car's computer came up with the "low tire pressure" signal. At any rate, with that message, we averted a blowout and after a two-hour wait to get a used tire that cost almost as much as a new one in the city, we were on our way.
It was Phoenix hot in Rock Springs, the place where we got our tire replaced. I almost wanted to go back the 45 miles we just came, but I didn't say anything and we were off again. Just a little more nervous. We kept looking at the temperature monitor to see when we'd get to the 80's. Prescott was still 98 degrees, but a short time later...89 degrees. Fabulous. Finally, Flagstaff, 86 degrees and cloudy. Heaven.
