Time Out
We've just started getting into the time out routine for disciplining Joaquin. When he gets out of hand, I ask him, "Do you want a time out?" At first he would nod yes, now he's starting to realize what it means. We put a little chair from a set his Tia loaned us at the end of the hallway. When we started doing this, he would get up and go do something else in the room or whatever, but I would put him right back on the chair. Now he really sits there, doing his thang of course. After he's finished, he always gets a hug from me and an explanation why he was there. I don't know if that's what you're supposed to do, but it works for now.
